Meeting your Animals’ Needs

Domestic pets had wild ancestors. As guardians of animals in your family, you can better understand and care for them when you know about their wild past, and the instinctive traits they still carry today.

While meeting your animals’ needs may mean a little more effort on your part, think of the total unconditional love that they give to you.   By having a pet, it is up to you to provide for its physical, psychological and health needs.

You also have an ancestry that links you to a ‘wilder’ past, and like your creatures, you will feel better, happier and more balanced when you meet YOUR  animal needs as well.

Here is where your pet can remind you about what YOUR animal needs are. Observe them, and do the same..

  • take a nap

  • drink more water

  • don’t think so much, just be..(humans think far, far too much and it is bad for you!)

  • use your senses more and be in the moment.. What can you smell right now? What can you see right now? What can you hear right now?  What can you taste right now? What can you feel right now?

  • Don’t care so much about what others think of you.

  • Give more affection, and don’t let stuff get you down.

You need to meet the needs of each type of pet you have differently.
